Pecorino rosso di Pienza

It is produced exclusively with sheep’s milk, bowl-shaped weighing about 1,500 kg

The cheese is soft and dense and has a sweet savoury taste due to treating the rind with tomato concentrate and vegetable oil. We rediscover the flavours of the ancient tradition of the Val d’Orcia (Orcia Valley) (Orcia Valley) that thanks to the pastures rich with natural and aromatic herbs enrich the cheese leaving a delicate and sweetish taste.
It is aged about 20 days.
